Types of sanctioned cargo - what is prohibited to be sent from Georgia to Russia?

In connection with the current events in Ukraine, the United States of America, the United Kingdom, the European Union and other countries participating in the process of imposing economic sanctions have made a decision to impose restrictions on the trade of certain goods with the Russian Federation and Belarus. Strict sanctions were imposed on companies and individuals operating in Russia and Belarus. The mentioned sanctions can be applied not only to the specified companies, but also to other (including those registered in Georgia) persons, if they sign a contract or perform a transaction with the companies specified in the list of special sanctions, or deliver specified goods to the Russian Federation and Belarus.

All the products included in the list determined by the countries participating in the sanctions, as well as any customs operation (including export and re-export), which can be carried out with the involvement of sanctioned individuals or companies, are subject to special customs control in order to prevent the use of the customs territory of Georgia for sanctioned cargo. as a corridor.

22 September 2023 N 21-10/74934 The US and its allies plan to continue the imposed sanctions until the situation in the region stabilizes. Given the current challenges, it is quite difficult to predict what kind of restrictions or response measures will be needed even in the near future. Please be informed that the list of goods, persons and companies sanctioned by the Bureau of Industry and Security of the Department of Commerce of the European Union, Great Britain, Canada and the USA against Belarus due to the participation of Belarus in connection with the military actions of the Russian Federation in Ukraine can be found at the following links:
