The owner of the procedure is obliged to:

  1. Goods placed in the procedure for intended use shall be used for the specified purpose of exemption from import duty.
  2. It is possible to declare the goods in the procedure of intended use
  3. with customs declaration of goods
  4. with the customs declaration of the motor vehicle.
  5. Customs declaration with form 4.

If the goods imported for the intended purpose were sold to the person who uses them for the intended purpose, for which the benefits on the import duty would be applied when the goods were placed in the procedure of release for free circulation, the aforementioned benefits will be applied to these goods again and it will remain under customs supervision with the new intended purpose.

As we have already mentioned, if the goods have an intended use, then they do not pay import duties. Pharmaceutical goods, goods intended for medical purposes, as well as, in more detail:

  1. Possession or state-owned immovable property
  2. Import of gold to be transferred to the National Bank
  3. Items intended for foreign nationals employed in oil and gas exploration.
  4. Goods to be used for medicinal/pharmaceutical purposes.
  5. Goods delivered to help people affected by natural disasters.
  6. Import of diplomatic mission property.
  7. Equipment for oil production, vehicles.
  8. Import of goods intended for the implementation of international aviation flights.
  9. Baby food and hygiene items.

How is the procedure for the intended use of the goods completed?

For the successful completion of the procedure, it is necessary that the condition of intended use is fulfilled, the intended status is canceled and the goods are placed in the free release procedure, the goods are declared in the export procedure, the corresponding amount of import duty is paid and the goods are disposed of in accordance with Chapter 15 of the Customs Code of Georgia .

 

The term of customs supervision and completion of reusable goods imported for a specific purpose is determined (taking into account the purpose of import and the type of goods) no more than 3 years.
